Barnsley College – Institute of Technology is a four-floor education project developed to support contemporary teaching, collaboration, and independent study within a future-focused learning environment.

My role covered interior design development across all levels, with a strong focus on furniture strategy and spatial flexibility. The scheme introduced alternative classroom configurations using soft seating and reconfigurable furniture, alongside large atrium spaces designed to support both collaborative activity and quieter, focused use.

A key component of the project was the design of bespoke furniture solutions, including custom collaboration booths and Apple-style tables with integrated power and cable management. I was involved from spatial planning through to detailed specification, site coordination, and finishes workshops, ensuring the final environment remained cohesive, adaptable, and technically robust.
